Answer for May 29th Quiz:
For the patient whose contrast enema is shown below, the colonic mapping showed no ganglion cells at the splenic flexure, mid-transverse colon and distal right colon, confirming total colonic HD, which was a surprise based on the look of the contrast study and that the patient was doing well on irrigations. I asked you how would you proceed. Remember we have a nearly one year old child who has been doing fairly well on irrigations, with no stoma, and now with total colonic HD confirmed. Because his nutritional status was good we decided to proceed with proctocolectomy and ileoanal pull-through.

Quiz for June 5:
Baby girl, 8 months of age, with a urogenital sinus, and normal anus, without virilization. The imaging is below, contrast study and MRI. The blue arrow shows the vaginal to common channel fistula. Cystoscopy showed a common channel of 2 cm and a urethra length from fistula to bladder neck of 1 cm.
